I really like what some blogs I follow do with their workout documentation. A couple runners I follow do Ironmans and like to cross train. I've been doing a lot of different things and I think copying their style would not only help me keep track of what I'm doing but also keep ME on track! It tends to look a lot like this:
Monday - did some weights in the AM, ran in the PM
Tuesday - I slept
Wednesday - ran a bunch
Thur....
Totals:
strength: 2.5 hours
run: 24 miles
cycle: 56 miles / 4 hours
etc.
So let's start with this week? Last week? Maybe this week. Maybe I'll blog a little on my food and training every day (Haha, wouldn't that be nice, gawd I suck at blogging)
Okay Fine, Here's This Week (So Far)
I started Crossfit a couple weeks ago thanks to a Groupon making it affordable for the only time ever. However, seeing as I could *possibly* find a job soon, I think I might actually continue my membership. We'll see, I have a TON of freakin bills to catch up on... for the next year at least. But we'll see.
I've also been trying to run when I can. Because I COMPLETED AN EFFING MARATHON within 8 months of started running, I decided I was allowed to be picky about when and how I run this time. I'm taking things slower (trying to anyway) and go shorter, and soon enough harder too. But when the weather sucks, it's two fingers in the air and I say "no thank you." But there have been a couple good days of running this month, both trails and around my neighborhood.
Sunday - I was pretty sick over the weekend and while the weather was beautiful and I had PLANNED on a nonstop running adventure the entire time, I needed to chill all day. So no run, no cross training.
Monday - My regular crossfit schedule is Mon and Tues at 5am and Thur at 6:30pm and Saturday for Technique (and sometimes WOD) at 10am. Monday was:
Of which I did a 500m row subbing for running because I didn't feel like visiting Urgent Care that day for an asthma attack (I can't do high intensity in cold weather and a 5am in March, it's pretty cold). I think I did 12 lbs for kettlebell... did anyone really do 35 lbs? That seems cray cray. I think my time was around 18 min? I don't know. I sort of never care.
Tuesday - Today's Crossfit was a doozy personally. Though I think anything with a barbell is because I probably never touched one before starting xfit, so it's foreign and I hate it (Okay okay, I'm learning to love it.)
6 Power Clean
14 Bck Ext
at the 5minute mark complete:
2. 3 rounds:
6 Squat Cleans
8 Wghted GHD SU 25/15lbs
at the 10minute mark complete:
3. 3 rounds:
21 PP
14 TTB
Comp 165/115
Rx2. 145/95
B. 125/75
C. 100/55
And I actually did the C. weight. Go me. So now my lower shoulders are dead and I can barely life my coffee mug to my face (not cool since I desperately need coffee).
---------------------------------------------------
So far some cool strength sessions but I hope to run today and tomorrow and probably Saturday and Sunday at the least. I will tally up the totals then and we'll see how I did.
Countdown to bikini bod for Jamaica in 24 days!!
