I tend to have a lot of weird dreams, especially when I'm stressed out. If they're not weird they're usually very deep and involved. It's mostly because it's my escapism of choice when I super hate my life. And if you read my color quiz, it mentions I like to dream (day dream or other) my life where I'm a winner.
Well last night's dream was too interesting for me not to share. And because I might miss a lot of details as well as because it's hard to recreate the feelings I had while in it, I'm sorry if you think I'm retarded for finding this dream more special than some others I've had. It was just very unique to me because I don't usually have sci fi type dreams. And for I had another dream a couple nights ago that was also extremely unique to my psyche but I can't remember it. Maybe my brain is transforming to think about things in different ways, I'm not sure.

Robot Takeover
I wish I could extend this out like a novel, but it'll probably only take 5 sentences:
The furthest back I can remember is something going on in a house with other people and my cat, Benedict. I think he might have been trying to get outside or something happened where I had to go outside because of him, like retrieve a toy or something. I'm in suburbia and the feeling was that of a brand new housing trek that wasn't quite done, like when I would lay floors with my dad for KB Homes. There was the side of the house that I had to pass through and for some reason had to crawl across because of some covering. However, when I was going under the covering, or about to, I felt sharp pain on my back and arms and I looked behind me to see rain. Only what was raining was shards of glass and they were searing my skin. I thought it strange especially because it was just in a tiny area. I had to pass through that same area at some point and it was unnerving and painful.
Inside the house there was a weird apocalyptic feeling and out in the world at this time was basically the end of the world. But it was a slow transition and not chaotic with everyone freaking out. It was like we knew the end was coming but still going about our normal routine every day. And what was happening was people were getting turned into robots. But it was a lot like Stephanie Meyer's The Host. Everyone still looked the same, but they were robots underneath. Now that I think about that part, it's not very unique at all and almost exactly like that book. The problem here is I have yet to read it or see the movie past the first 10 minutes. And that was like many months ago and I haven't thought about it since. So why dream this now?
Anyway, in the house was a sadness because apparently news came out that Adele had finally been turned. The people who were still people were distraught about turning because they felt their free will would be taken away and they wouldn't be themselves. Everyone thought the robots were creepy. I however, didn't really notice and kept wondering why everyone cared so much.
Finally, I was the last human on earth. Then I step in my house and 3 ambush me, trying to turn me. And I was scared at first, thinking like everyone else was that this was wrong and I was going to die. So I woke up a little in a self-defense move, but then thought "No, let's see where this is going" and fell back asleep and into the dream.
I turned into a robot. Except I loved it and thought everyone was retarded for hating it. And they all hated it. But I was stronger, I didn't notice any of my thought patterns changing, I was still me, but better! So then my coworker Cassie comes into the picture. She becomes like my "mentor" and brings me up to speed on robot life.
Then we're in this building. It felt like I was going in to temp for some print shop or something. And Cassie is there. And she's telling me that as a robot she was supposed to be more muscular and she didn't know what the deal was. And I'm in this building doing work when she leaves and later comes back (and who knows what time is like at this point, it could have been a few days later when we meet up again). And her arms are all ripples but it looked cool and it was like her robot self underneath was altered and you could see it through the skin on top. And she was telling me she saw "her" (a name might have been mentioned, but I don't remember it). And She gave her the "upgrade" she was expecting that everyone should get. And was telling me about it when we realized we needed to go to my car for something, or maybe we were just leaving to go somewhere.
When we step outside however, there is a guy with what looks like a leaf-blower on his back and he's shooting this rain all around, only the rain was the sharp little pieces from before (this time they were metal though). And it hurt and seared our skin. So we went back inside. But then Cassie was telling me eventually we won't be allowed to escape it because the plan was that they made us content robots for now by making the transition slow. Eventually though we would have to remove our skin and be real robots. They just didn't force us at first but the point of the metal shard rain was to deteriorate our skin off our bodies. We saw some people walking through it already and just not caring, maybe they progressed further or something. And even though Cassie seemed totally content with the idea, I was horrified knowing how painful it was sitting in the rain and that's when I kind of jumped on board the nope-train for taking away my "humanity" that everyone else initially complained of.
We still both of us waited until the shard rain passed and then looked for my car. But the rain came and went periodically and it felt like a video game after that. My car was always just out of reach when the rain came back and it would change locations each time too, making the search difficult every time.
And that's pretty much when I woke up.
