Even though our race in NorCal isn't until Saturday, I have a job interview in Farmington, NM / Durango, CO for an environmental company that I feel really good about. I keep trying not to get my hopes up about it, but I also keep telling people "...when I move to Durango..." and then face-palm. I'm nervous I'm going to freeze up because the interview has been over a month in the making since my phone interview with them and I feel like I'm going to get there and go "uhhh buhhh?" because I can't remember why I'm there and why they could possibly be interested in me.
Honestly, getting a new job is a little nerve-wrecking. I temp'ed twice for an investment firm in real estate as an administrative assistant and when I got there, I panicked, realizing I really had zero professional experience and here I am being thrown in being asked "You know how to transfer phone lines, right? Okay good." When really, I didn't. But I handled it, so I feel a little better about remembering that I really do pick up things quickly and I am, in fact, a competent person.
So wish me luck!
